Mechanical Set Retrievable Production Packers

The Mechanical Retrievable Production Packer is the most versatile of the mechanically set retrievable packers and may be used in any production application. This packer is suited for treating, testing, or injection applications, in pumping or flowing wells, either deep or shallow. This packer can be left in tension or compression depending on well conditions and the required application.

A large internal by-pass reduces swabbing when running and retrieving. The by-pass closes when the packer is set and opens prior to releasing the upper slips when retrieving to allow pressure equalization. The J-slot design allows easy setting and releasing; 1/4 turn right-hand set, 1/4 turn right-hand release.

The standard Mechanical Retrievable Production Packer is designed for differential pressures up to 7,000 psi (unless noted otherwise). This packer is also available in an HT version which is designed for differential pressures up to 10,000 psi (unless noted otherwise). The HT version allows this packer to be utilized in completions where high pressure treating operations are performed and it is desirable to leave the tool in the well for production.

Hydraulic Set Retrievable Production Packers

The ITC Hydraulic Retrievable Production Packer is a hydraulic-set single-string retrievable packer and may be used in virtually any production application. Tubing pump pressure is used to set the packer, and the setting force is locked into the packer by a body lock ring. A large internal by-pass reduces swabbing when running and retrieving. The by-pass closes when the packer is set and opens during the releasing process to allow pressure equalization. Shear screws are used to control the packer release. The standard Hydraulic Retrievable Production Packer are designed for differential pressures up to 7,500 psi (51.71 MPa).

The single bore Permanent Packer is designed for wells where high pressure/high temperature and corrosive fluids are present. The packer can be used for single or multi-stage completions and is primarily run for injection stimulation and testing or as a temporary bridge plug when used with the knock-out or pump-out bottom assembly.

Features

Capable of handling high pressure/high temperature environments

Can be run in single stage and multi-stage wells

Can be run for injection stimulation and testing or as a temporary bridge plug

Options

                Wide range of elastomers

Wide range of accessories for setting, isolation and milling

The Tubing Anchor/Catcher is a retrievable double grip anchor designed to prevent excessive movement of the tubing string during pumping to increase pump efficiency and decrease rod and tubing wear. The anchor can be run for treating, testing, injecting, pumping wells and flowing wells.

The double slip design allows the anchor to be left in tension or compression, depending on well conditions and the required application. The Tubing Anchor/Catcher is equipped with an adjustable straight pickup emergency shear release and when released in this manner, the anchor will reset when moved down the hole.

Features

Dual slip design for maximum holding power

Anchor can be left in tension or compression

                Emergency shear release

                Fully retrievable

Options

                Right-hand or left-hand setting

The Inflatable Packer is a single-set production/injection packer that is retrievable and may be used for testing, treating, production, or injection. The Inflatable Packer may also be used as a retrievable bridge plug or as a scab liner system by combining two packers with blank tubing in between.

High strength cable in the packer provides good expansion characteristics in washed out or irregular well bores, as well as high differential pressure capabilities. Cable reinforcement allows the Inflatable Packer elements to return very close to the original run-in diameter and the elements are also designed so bulging due to high differential pressure is also less likely to occur.

Features

Packer element is 5.50 ft (1.7 m) in length

Reduced OD to easily pass through casing patches

Element design reduces chances of bulging

Cable reinforcement allows elements to return very close to the original run-in diameter

Options

Ball and seat pump-out sub assembly or solid aluminum plug shear assembly at the bottom of the tool

Rotational release for high pressure differential wells
