The Boot Basket captures debris and cuttings that are too large to circulate from the well during cleanout operations by suddenly reducing the fluid velocity causing the heavy junk to drop into the top of the basket. The Boot Basket is installed in the drill string above junk mills, casing scrapers or other cleanout tools.
