The Safety Joint enables a quick release from the tool string should it become stuck, leaving a minimum of pipe in the hole and reducing the problems of fishing or sidetracking. Once in the string, the Safety Joint will disengage by simple left-hand rotation at a pre-determined percentage of the tool’s right-hand make-up torque.
The Safety Joint has a two-piece, two-seal design which allows for easy disassembly during cleaning and lubrication. O-ring seals above and below threads seal against internal and external fluid pressures.
• Simple design eliminates need for release ring mechanism and lengthy disengagement procedures
• Coarse thread design will not loosen or wedge during operation
• Resistant to vibration, heavy loads and left or right-hand torque
• O-ring seals above and below threads seal against internal and external fluid pressures
• Compatible with drilling, fishing, testing and wash-over strings
• Wide range of tubular sizes
• Wide range of connections
Wash Pipe is run in drilling projects when components become stuck. The Wash Pipe is a large inside diameter (ID) tubular that is run over a stuck component, enabling drilling fluid to wash away debris around the stuck component and allow operations to resume without significant disruption.
• Large ID tubular capable of washing over wide range of fish
• Effective in retrieving fish with minimal operational disruption
• Can be run in combination with other fishing tools
• Wide range of tubular sizes
