PILOT MILLING

Pilot milling involves cutting through a section of casing to create a milled window that can be used as an exit point to drill a new hole section or for well abandonment where a cement barrier back to formation is needed. The Pilot Mill is a hydraulically actuated tool dressed with tungsten carbide inserts that provide extended footage with a maximum rate of penetration (ROP) and create consistent chip-shaped swarf while preventing premature wear and breakage.
