EXPANSION JOINTS

The Import Tool designed Expansion Joint is a completion component that accommodates downhole thermal transitions in cyclic steam injection, SAGD operations and other high temperature well conditions. The Expansion Joint will prevent any movement (expansion or contraction), or forces transferred to fixed components in the liner string, such as packers or hangers.

Internal graph-foil ring elements create an effective seal with a temperature rating up to 600°F (316°C).

The Expansion Joint has the option for fully rotational integrity with complete swivel capabilities throughout the expansion stroke. Fully clutched Expansion Joints are available to provide torque through the entire stroke in tension, compression, and neutral. Any standard sizing of the Expansion Joint is ready to manufacture with a maximum stroke length of 24.61 ft (7.5 m). If additional stroke length is required, any number of Expansion Joints can be run in the string.

Expansion Joints are typically run in conjunction with Import Tool's high temperate, high pressure Debris Seal Packers, but are compatible with any conventional packer and liner system.
