The Liner Top Test Tool allows an inflow test (or negative test) to be conducted on a liner overlap and the liner shoe track on the same trip as the wellbore clean-up. The tool eliminates the need for either a controlled displacement of the whole well to a lower density fluid through the choke with the BOPs closed or a dedicated run of a retrievable packer to perform the test.
The Liner Top Test Tool is equipped with a packer element, an integral scraping lantern and an integral liner top dress mill. The tool also incorporates a closeable bypass under the packer element, which allows high circulation rates by increasing flow area past the restrictive outside diameter (OD) of the packer element.
• Allows inflow test to be conducted on the same trip as the PBR is dressed
• Can be combined in the same string with other mechanical clean-up tools
• Allows drilling and milling with tool in string
• One-piece mandrel
• Integral scraping lantern
• Integral liner top dress mill
• Large internal bypass under packer element
• Limited positive test can also be conducted
• Wide range of tool sizes available
• Compatible with wide range of casing weights
