The Ball-Drop Isolation Tool is designed so that high circulation rates can be used to displace the upper part of the well without any pressure being applied to the lower part of the well. The isolation tool is particularly suitable where there is a pressure sensitive tool or open hole below.
The Ball-Drop Isolation Tool includes two internal ball seats which are activated to open and close the tool. After the first ball is dropped and the isolation tool is closed, all flow through the string is directed out through the tool to the upper annulus. The Ball-Drop Isolation Tool also features a stabilizer and stabilizer mill profile to ensure there are no restrictions in the casing and to protect the diverter cup from any possible damage.
• Isolates the tool string and annulus below the tool, directing all flow out of the tool to the upper annulus
• A stabilizer and stabilizer mill profile ensures there are no restrictions in the casing
• Compatible with casing sizes ranging from 7.000 - 10.750 in. (177.8 – 273.1 mm)
• Heavy duty casing compatibility
