The Ball Catcher Sub is run below a ball-activated tool and retains used metal balls of a specific diameter after they are released downhole from the ball-activated tools. Smaller diameter balls will pass through the Ball Catcher Sub and travel further down the string, enabling multiple ball-activated tools to be run in a single tool string and allowing for wireline to pass through.
The Ball Catcher Sub can be run with a modified ball retaining clip, ensuring balls cannot exit the sub, which can be necessary in a highly deviated well or when reverse circulating.
• Requires no operation to catch balls
• Deformable ball seat technology
• Tool opening allows smaller diameter balls to pass through, enabling multiple ball-activated tools in one string
• Tool inside diameter (ID) large enough for wireline and fishing tools to pass through
• Modified ball retaining clip
• H2S resistant material
